With the win over Cathedral, Little Falls earned the opportunity to play for the Granite Ridge title under the lights at Zimmerman, Tuesday, but dropped a close battle 2-1.
The Thunder opened the scoring just five minutes into the contest, but junior Marissa Virnig tied the game only two minutes later with a laser shot from a tight angle.
Zimmerman regained the lead with what turned out to be the game-winner in the 30th minute.
Little Falls appeared to tie the game with 15 minutes to go, but had the goal waved off after the official ruled the Zimmerman keeper had possession of the ball.
