BriAnna Rose Kruzel, sresident of Sartell, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at her home in Sartell. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Oct. 3, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, with Father Tim Baltes officiating.
BriAnna was born on March 21, 1995, to Randy and Tami (Hansmann) Kruzel in Little Falls. She grew up and attended school in Sartell, graduating from Sartell High School with the class of 2013. She recently started in the fall at St. Cloud Technical Community College working on her general studies. Throughout BriAnnas life she was very active and passionate about Girl Scouts. Her greatest love was working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. In 2013 she was nominated and won Big Sister of the Year, something she was very proud of. BriAnna also received the Youth Appreciation Award through the St. Cloud Optimus Club for her hard work with Big Brothers, Big Sisters. The last three years she spent time every week with her little sister Samantha Webb, which she truly enjoyed. BriAnna gave much of her time volunteering and was very involved with the Community Education dance program. In her free time she enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting and being around animals. She was a very happy person that had an infectious smile that would light up a room. BriAnna was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Sartell, which led her to a strong faith in the Lord. She was a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter and will be greatly missed.
BriAnna is survived by parents, Randy and Tami Kruzel of Sartell; brothers, Joshua Kulus and Brandon Kruzel; grandparents, Karen and Wayne Hansmann of Little Falls, Anthony Kruzel of Little Falls and Darlene Kruzel of Little Falls; aunts and uncles, Mark (Amy) Hansmann of Brainerd, Lisa Haley of Tacoma, Wash., Becky (Brian) Engelmeyer of Sartell, Jackie (Don) Hoeschen of St. Cloud, Michelle (Mike) Malakowsky of Maple Grove, Russell (Corleen) Kruzel of Howell, Mich., Tracy Wheeler of Little Falls and Troy Kruzel of Little Falls; and 17 cousins.
BriAnna was preceded in death by uncle, Jeff Kruzel and cat of 17 years, Oliver.
