Summons issued for Little Falls man for cashing bad checks

Joshua Lee Jackson, 33, Little Falls, was charged Sept. 26 in the Morrison County District Court, with one felony count of issuing dishonored checks.

In August, the Little Falls Police Department received a packet of information from a Little Falls store stating it had received 18 dishonored checks from Jackson and another person from July 10 – 20.

Fourteen of the checks were allegedly written by Jackson totalling $1,185.82. All 18 checks were returned for non-sufficient funds.

A video allegedly shows Jackson and the other person cashing the checks on different occasions. The store issued a notice and demand for payment on all 18 checks, with no response.

A summons has been issued.

If convicted, Jackson faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
