William H. Kerwin, 82, a resident of Onamia, passed away September 29, 2013 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay. Interment with Military Honors was held Friday, Oct. 4, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
William is survived by his wife, Genevieve; sons, Bill (Terri) Kerwin of Onamia and Jeff (Gail) Kerwin of Omaha, Neb; daughters, Sheryl (Shawn) Pederson of Milaca, Debby (Joel) Anderson, of Mora; grandchildren, Brett, Sara, Tyson, Jon, Aspen, Codee, Jessica, Randy, Brendan, and Cameron; sister, Marg; and brothers, Dennis (Rhoda), Joe (Charlotte), and Bob. He was preceded in death by his mom, Bridget; father, William; sister-in-law, Jan; brother-in-law, Lorence. Also survived by former wife, Dona Kerwin, of Rawlins, Wyo.
William was born July 27, 1931, in Kennebec, S.mD to Bridget and William Kerwin. He served in the United States Air Force for four years; he was in the Korean War. William touched many lives in 82 years and will be deeply missed.
