Wesley Garrison

Wesley C. Garrison, 59, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, with the Rev. Merrill Kindall officiating. Burial was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.
Wesley Charles Garrison was born Aug. 26, 1954, in Little Falls, to Arthur and Marilyn (Stoner) Garrison. He graduated from Little Falls High School in 1972. Wesley joined the United States Air Force in August of 1972 and was eventually stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1976 and spent time in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud. In 1995, Wesley moved back to Little Falls. He enjoyed playing baseball and was instrumental in the Little Falls VFW team winning the state championship in 1970 as the starting pitcher. Wesley was an avid sports fan and religiously followed the Vikings, Twins and Wild during their seasons. He spent time in the outdoors, hunting deer and fishing and looked forward to family get-togethers at the cabin.
Wesley passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and will be dearly missed by his children, Joelene (Allen) Wieling of Melrose, Jackie Garrison of Little Falls, Janelle Garrison of Foreston and Zach Garrison of Little Falls; brothers, Art (Vicky) of Bozeman, Mont., Mark (Vicky) of Kasson and Kenny (Nancy) Garrison of Pierz; grandchildren, Cole, Trevin, Desirae, Hayden, Morgan, Brooke, Natalie and Brian; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marilyn Garrison.
Casketbearers were Kenny Garrison, Mark Garrison, Art Garrison, Ron Tillman, Greg Zylka and Jim Gohl. Honorary casketbearers were his grandchildren.
