Cross Country: Holdingford boys earn third in Duluth Invite, climb to seventh in rankings

The Holdingford boys took third place in the 30-team Swain Invite in Duluth, Saturday, helping the Huskers climb four spots to seventh in the most recent Class A rankings.

Juniors Andrew Zachman (16:50.6) and Abe Skwira (17:29.5) each finished in the top-10 individually to guide the Huskers, with junior Jacob Thell (18:34.4), senior Nick Hiltner (18:39.7) and sophomore Marcus Rick (19:25.9) also scoring.

The Huskers girls took fifth place overall, led by junior Emily Wolter in 32nd place in 17:19.6 and sophomore Jo Merten in 37th in 17:24.5.

Sophomore Rachael Preusser (17:52.5), senior Abby Mokhtary (17:57.0) and sophomore Sunni Ebnet (17:58.0) rounded out the Holdingford scorers.
