The Little Falls girls soccer team reached another milestone in Tuesday’s regular-season finale, reaching double-digit wins with an 8-0 shellacking of visiting Becker.
With the win, the Flyers enter the postseason with a 10-3-2 record and as the third seed in Sub-Section 8A South.
Senior Katie Yorek and junior Alicia Gapinski each scored twice to lead the Flyers, with Gapinski netting the opening goal of the match in the 12th minute off of an assist junior Marissa Virnig.
Virnig then set up freshman Kia Friel for her second of three assists, with Yorek netting her first goal in the 33rd minute to give the Flyers a 3-0 halftime advantage.
Senior Taylor Kunkel tallied her first career varsity goal off of a cross by Yorek in the 44th minute, with Yorek, Gapinski and senior Kirsten Welinski also adding goals down the stretch to seal the runaway victory.
Junior Scottijo Meyer earned the shutout in goal with four saves.
