Edward John Lapenotiere Jr., 20, Little Falls, was charged Oct. 4 in District Court with one felony count each of second degree sale of schedule 1 or 2 drugs and third degree sale of a narcotic.
A confidential informant contacted the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and said he/she could purchase Vicodin and heroin from Lapenotiere, who lived within one block from the Little Falls Community Middle School and Lindbergh Elementary School.
The informant was supplied with money and later observed walking to Lapenotiere’s residence, entering it, then leaving.
Law enforcement met up with the informant who allegedly turned over seven Vicodin pills and a small package containing heroin. According to the criminal complaint, the informant stated he/she did purchase the drugs from Lapenotiere.
If convicted, Lapenotiere faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and/or a $500,000 fine.
