Sandra L. Strempke, 59, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, Oct. 11, at Living Hope Assembly of God Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Sandy (Happke) Strempke was born in Little Falls, Jan. 24, 1954, to the late Anthony and Dorothy Happke. She attended school in Pierz. Sandy was united in marriage to Merlin Strempke Sept. 20, 1971, at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. The couple have been happily married for 43 years. Sandy and Merlin spent four years traveling in the military before settling down in Little Falls. She enjoyed her part-time job at Sobanias Hatchery with her friends. Sandy also loved her flowers, boating and camping. She had a passion for reading and spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish Sandys memory is her husband, Merlin Strempke; son, Tony (Cindy) Strempke of Little Falls; grandchildren, Spencer, Kirsten, Natasha and Jordon; great-grandson, Riley; sister, Twila (Ron) Geiger of St. Cloud; brothers-in-law, Jim (Judy) Strempke, Jack (Vicky) Strempke, Mike Strempke and Martin (Michelle) Strempke; sisters-in-law, Judy (Don) Zeimen and Joann Pfleghaar; stepmother, Margaret Senlycki; stepmother-in-law, Mayme Strempke; many nieces and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her grandsons, Mitchell and Collin; sister, Brenda Strempke; parents, Anthony and Dorothy Happke; father-in-law, John Strempke; stepfather, Anthony Senlycki; grandmothers, aunts and uncles.
Sandy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
