Americans need to wake up

To the Editor:

It was disturbing to listen to our news media several months ago when they all seemed so excited about the Supreme Court rulings.

It doesn’t matter to God how any legislative or court rules on marriage. God instituted marriage between one man and one woman — Genesis 2:18.23. God ordained marriage for Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

God has given all of us the free will to make choices in our lives. We are all sinners but to live in an unrepentant state is damnation. Being gay is a sin of choice. God didn’t create any person that way. It is our TV, movie industry and media that tries to convince us the lifestyle of the gays is normal.

Leviticus 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death.”

We have seen devastating fires in California and Colorado, floods in Colorado. Boardwalk in New Jersey destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and now a fire. Paraphrasing 2 Chronicles 36:14-21, “And the Lord, the God of their Fathers, sent a message to them again and again, but they continually mocked the message of God, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people.”

Wake up America. God is in control. — Mrs. Joseph Bleess, Long Prairie

No one in their right mind would choose to be gay in a society where the majority openly hates them and uses their loving god to do so. Fact is people are born gay – don’t hate them for it based on a book that has such bad moral examples in it.

There have been fires in California and Colorado for forever; wildfires are part of God’s way of maintaining nature. There have been floods before, too.

It’s interesting that you bring these things up, actually. All the fires in the past in CA and CO, Hurricane Sandy, and the boardwalk fire in NJ all happened while same sex marriage was illegal in those states.

Maybe God was trying to send a message to those opposed to same sex marriage.

I know four gay people and they all chose it. Are you saying they are wrong also? Homosexuals can never truly claim marriage as marriage is and always will be between one man and one woman. They want to be “married” but yet they want to be gay. They want to be in a same sex relationship but yet in many cases one of them acts like the opposite sex mimicking a straight marriage. Try to be more open minded guys as there is a difference between being against homosexuality and homosexuals. In God’s eyes it is a sin, it is fornication. God will judge us all by the way we lived and if we have accepted Jesus Christ and repented from our sins as we are all sinners (yes I am also), if I murdered someone I am a murderer anybody can make that judgment, but you can not judge what happens after I die. So I don’t claim to judge anyone about where they may end up after death but if you are gay you are gay and I believe it is a sin. Read Romans chapter 1 to start out with as it talks about the unnatural sin of homosexuality and how it is tied to a disbelief in God.
