Michigan man extradited from Morrison County

On Oct. 10, Morrison County District Court ordered the extradition of Zikimo Nathan Jones, 36, Detroit, Mich., to the demanding state.

On Sept. 19, a bench warrant was issued from Putnam County in Indiana for the arrest of Jones. It requested he be extradited back to Indiana.

On Oct. 8, a Minnesota State Trooper stopped Jones in Morrison County. The trooper was made aware of the warrant and placed Jones under arrest.

On Oct. 9, an investigator from the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office took Jones’ statement. He confirmed he had been convicted of conspiracy to sell a schedule I controlled substance.

While he said he was not aware of the warrant, he did tell the investigator he left Michigan without notifying his probation officer.

Jones indicated he was willing to return to answer for his probation violation.
