Senator Rodney Grams

Senator Rodney D., Rod, of Crown, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. He was a former news anchor and producer in Great Falls, Mont., Wausau, Wis., Rockford, Ill, and KMSP-TV in Minneapolis, U.S, Congressman from 1993 – 1995, U.S. Senator from 1995-2001. He was preceded in death by his father Morgan; brother Gary; and grandson Blake.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters, Michelle (Greg) Bauer, Tammy (John) Roberts and Rhiannon (Keith) Kiffmeyer; son, Morgan Grams; mother, Audrey Grams; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; sisters, Linda Jones, Pam (Bill) Goodrich, Lana (Assad) Awaijane, Sheila Decker, Patty Nichols and Barb (Tom) Vogtlin; brother, Greg (Cheryl) Grams; half-brother, Michael (Lyubov) Grams; half-sister, Andrea (John) Craft; and former wife Laurel Grams.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Zion Lutheran Church of Crown. Memorials preferred to the Crown Christian Day School.
