Francis Millner

Francis Fran Joseph Millner, 62, a resident of Sauk Rapids, passed away Oct. 24, 2013, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Oct. 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids, with the Rev. Ronald Weyrens officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Fran was born April 17, 1951, in Little Falls to Frank and Barbara (Stangl) Millner and was raised in Pierz. He married Debra Slimmer, Oct. 16, 1971, in Little Falls. Fran proudly served his country in the National Guards from 1970 to 1976. He worked as a mechanic and driver for Larson Bus Service from 1969 to 1981; Farmers Insurance Group from 1981 to 2006; and most recently as a driver/training coordinator for Vision Transportation. Fran was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids volunteer fire department for 20 years, former commander of Sauk Rapids American Legion, 40 & 8, and Metro Lions. He enjoyed talking politics, hunting, fishing, and learning and using the latest technology. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Debra Debby of Sauk Rapids; daughters, Pamela (Shawn) Wensel of Sartell, and Melissa (Jermaine Ausley) Millner of Sauk Rapids; grandchildren, Cole and Lauren Wensel, and Jamarion Ausley; siblings, Lyann (Ralph) Quade of Pierz, Corrine (Gerald) Meyer of Pierz, Marilyn (Marvin) Dorn of Pierz, and Roger (Karen) Millner of Annandale.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Leander Millner.
