Adam Daniel McDougall, 27, Randall, was charged Oct. 29 in Morrison County District Court with one felony count each of domestic assault and domestic assault by strangulation.
On Oct. 27, deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault in Little Falls. The victim reported that McDougall choked her, leaving marks on her neck, after becoming upset because she was being too loud while feeding her baby.
By the time deputies had arrived, McDougall had fled the scene. He was later located in a parking lot on Haven Road.
According to the criminal complaint, McDougall told officers he had asked the victim to be more quiet and became upset when the victim was singing too loudly to their infant child.
McDougall allegedly said he “flipped out” when the victim spoke negatively about him, grabbed her by the neck and pushed her down.
He said both he and the victim then left the residence.
If convicted, McDougall faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
