The Great River Arts Association will present local artist Mike Hawkins’ collection of photographic work at the Family Medical Center (FMC) from now through the end of December. The collection is titled, “Art Doesn’t Have to be Expensive,” and focuses on creating affordable framed photographs with varying themes.
Hawkins has worked in a variety of media from dream catchers to sculpture and jewelry. This exhibition is his first in photography. He is very excited to share his work with the Little Falls community and will be switching the collection out every two weeks so that more of his work may be viewed. The purchasing of these framed pieces will be put towards medical co-pays at local pharmacies in honor of Hawkins late fiance Gail Virnig.
