Antonio Randell Oatis, 24, Little Falls, was charged Nov. 13 in Morrison County District Court with one felony count of fifth degree possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of driving after revocation.
A Morrison County deputy stopped Oatis’ vehicle Nov. 11 because it was known Oatis’ driving privileges had been revoked.
Oatis was placed under arrest. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found a small vial, a syringe and a spoon. Oatis allegedly admitted he was a heroin addict and that the items were used for heroin consumption.
According to the criminal complaint, the items field-tested positive for heroin.
If convicted, Oatis faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
