Thank you letters, Nov. 24, 2013 issue

To the Editor:

We would like to sincerely thank all of the people at Bethel Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church who hosted the annual fundraising rummage sale and sponsored those supported by Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota. The generosity, energy and support of these wonderful people have truly made a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities. Their efforts and work is inspiring, heartfelt and motivating. A simple thank you seems inadequate for all their noble efforts. — Mary Frey, Lisa Kohn, Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota, Little Falls

To the Editor:

Each year, the Swanville American Legion Auxiliary women treat the Swanville school staff in a very special way during American Education Week. Hand-delivered red apples are presented to staff with a greeting from two smiling Auxiliary members. There’s nothing like a bright greeting from this special group. It’s been their longstanding tradition to host an after-school tea that Monday. We are grateful for the delicious homemade specialties of these ladies and enjoy visiting with them. — Theresa Bisek, Swanville Schools, Swanville

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, I want to thank you all; the sisters and volunteers, businesses and individuals who helped at the Franciscan Harvest Supper Nov. 9 at St. Francis Convent. We served 465 people locally-grown chicken and roasted vegetables, wild rice sausages and dessert Saturday evening. Funds raised will benefit St. Francis Health and Recreation Center and St. Francis Music Center. — Kathy Whittington, volunteer coordinator for the Franciscan Sisters, Little Falls
