BGC Board gets dirty cleaning up new home for BGC

Demolition-at-BGCThe Boys and Girls Club (BGC) Advisory Board in Little Falls got their hands dirty as they worked to clear out the former IGA building in west Little Falls, which will become the new home to the Club and to a thrift shop shared with Habitat for Humanity. Once the walls inside were demolished, volunteers worked to salvage usable items, before Sentenced to Service crews came in and cleared out the waste. Pictured are just three of the volunteers (from left): Board Members Erik Arne and Phil Smith and Erik’s son, Shane Arne. President of the Board Bernie Jeub said the crew worked from 8 a.m. – noon and that soon, the thermometer measuring the path to the $1 million goal will change from $600,000 – $700,000.
