Dustin James Bartkowitz, 25, Little Falls, has been charged with one felony count of third degree sale of narcotics.
The complaint filed in Morrison County District Court said in June, an investigator of the Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force had contact with an informant who stated he had contact with Bartkowitz who was prepared to sell him methamphetamine.
The informant was instructed to make arrangements for the purchase.
Following the purchase, the informant and investigator allegedly met and a small plastic baggie containing a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine was turned over. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.
Bartkowitz was arrested Nov. 24 on unrelated charges. On Nov. 25, the investigator met with Bartkowitz at the jail. Bartkowitz allegedly stated he had never sold a controlled substance, but had a methamphetamine problem.
When informed that law enforcement had purchased methamphetamine from him at his residence, Bartkowitz allegedly stated he helped some people out a couple of times but did not admit to selling out of his house.
The maximum penalty is 20 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
