Nordic Skiing: Little Falls takes first at Bemidji Invite

Little Falls won two of three individual events to take first place as a combined boys and girls team at the Bemidji Invite, Saturday.

The format included three relay divisions, including boys, girls and co-ed, with both skiers needing to complete two separate legs of the race, the classic and skate.

Seniors John Gottwalt and Maria Hauer (5:34) teamed up to win the co-ed division, with senior Kaitlin Geisenhof and sophomore Amelia Kresha (11:22) taking first in the girls race.

Junior Michael Carll and sophomore Gunner Kleinschmidt (5:25) were runners-up in the boys relay, with fourth-place efforts delivered by junior Hunter Kleinschmidt and sophomore Elizabeth Becker (10:48) in the co-ed race as well as sophomore Claire Gammon-Deering and freshman Kendal Hendrickson (13:10) in the girls race.
