SCSU holiday baseball camp set for Thursday – Friday

The St. Cloud State University (SCSU) baseball coaching staff and team members will be sponsoring their seventh annual “Stars of Tomorrow Holiday Camp” for area youths ages 6 – 18, Thursday – Friday.

The cost for the league is $75 per player and $50 for additional family members.  Overnight campers will only be charged $25.00, which includes a team dinner and breakfast.

The Holiday Prospect Showcase will be Dec. 27, beginning at 1 p.m. This showcase is for players interested in playing baseball at the college level.

Additionally, a Monday evening Sandlot Series will take place in Jan. – March and a specialty skills baseball camp will take place Saturday, Feb. 15.  The camp will be held in the SCSU Husky Dome.

The specialty camp will be broken into specific groups for pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders.  Players will also be separated by age groups.  Players will go through a series of hitting drills and fundamental instruction. They will end with a simulated game.
