Juniors Jordan Sales and Tyler Evans accounted for the bulk of Swanville’s offense as the Bulldogs took second place at the Menahga holiday tournament, Friday – Saturday
In the tournament opener, Swanville eked past Henning 56-54, with Sales (16), senior Aaron Miller (15) and Evans (12) reaching double figures scoring.
Sales also grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots, with Evans racking up six assists.
Menahga came out on top 68-54 in the finals, overcoming a 20-point performance by Sales.
Evans followed with 14 points, five assists and five steals and senior Cody Mollner put in 11 points.
The day before the tournament, Swanville eased past visiting Sebeka 83-44 in non-conference action, Thursday.
Evans (19), Sales (18), sophomore Carter Loven (12) and Mollner (11) all reached double figures for the Bulldogs, with freshman Bennet Primus adding seven points and junior Austin Johnson and sophomore Sam Mettler each chipping in five.
Evans and Loven both passed out five assists and Sales grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
