Thrivent Financial is offering an interactive, money management workshop series based on a stewardship foundation. During the six 90-minute sessions participants will learn: how to identify what is important in their lives, set goals, make sharing, saving and spending decisions that align with their values. Individuals and couples who want to take a values-based approach to money management will learn how to apply basic money management tools to help them budget, reduce debt and find money to save.
The workshop was the 2008 adult category winner of the Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) from the Institute of Financial Literacy.
Topics include stewardship and values; communicating about money; setting goals; credit and debt; finding money to save and budget and net worth.
The class is offered by Tara Hemsing of Thrivent Lutheran Financial through Royalton Community Education at the Elementary school’s media center. The fee is $15 per family and will be held Thursdays, Jan. 2 through Feb. 6, 2014 from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Deadline to register online or by calling (320) 584-4253 is Monday, Dec. 30.
