Rose Wielinski was born on January 14, 1925, in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of John & Hattie (Yasgar) Wielinski. She grew up on a farm in Pike Creek Township and attended the Brickyard School, Our Lady of Lourdes School and Little Falls High School. Following her schooling, Rose worked as a secretary at the ASCS office in Little Falls and Munsingwear in Minneapolis. On October 15, 1946, Rose was united in marriage to Richard Schreiber at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls. The couple made their home in Little Falls. Rose was a loving, dedicated mother staying home to raise her family. She then went to work at St. Francis Convent for a time in Little Falls. Rose enjoyed canning, baking (especially poppy seed coffee cake), quilting, embroidery, card playing, (was a member of a 500 Card Club), dancing, blueberry picking, flower gardening, cooked fantastic feasts for the family and volunteered at the Little Falls Senior Center and St. Ottos Care Center. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, was a prayer volunteer, worked the bazaar, and led the Rosary. Roses family will remember her as a nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a passion for prayer. Others were the center of her life, not herself. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband in their retirement. She was honored to meet President George W. Bush at one of Richards Naval reunions. Roses family is grateful for the generous, loving care she received while residing at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls. She was affectionately known as Rosie by the staff.
