Little Falls Police Department

Dec. 31 — A resident reported that while they were parked on LeMieur Street, someone went into their unlocked vehicle and stole a black Barnett Banshee junior archery set with two arrows, valued at $49.99. Also stolen was a card with $10 cash.

Jan. 4 — A business on 18th Street Northeast reported a theft.

Jan. 6 — A resident on Fifth Avenue Southeast reported a case of fraud. The resident responded to an ad on Craigslist for an employment opportunity, was hired without an interview and given a check to cash to perform a specific task. The resident followed the instructions and later learned that their bank account had an overdraft because the check the resident received was fraudulent.

Jan. 7 — A resident on Fourth Avenue Northeast reported a text scam. The resident was selling tractor parts on Craigslist and a subject contacted them by text to buy it at an agreed upon price of $500. The resident was sent a check for $2,890, with a request that the resident cash the check and then send the rest back to the buyer in a money gram.
