Buoyed by the first career goals of senior Dane Peterson and sophomore Daniel Marod, Little Falls outskated host Northern Lakes 5-3, Jan. 2.
Northern Lakes scored the opening goal seven minutes into the game, but Little Falls rattled off five goals in a row to take a commanding 5-1 advantage early in the third.
Northern Lakes senior Nick Blanchette, who scored the Lightning’s first goal, struck twice more in the third, but his hat trick wasn’t enough to overtake Little Falls.
In addition to Peterson and Marod, senior Mark Anez, junior Austin Fenske and sophomore Landon Atkinson also scored goals for the Flyers.
Anez registered three assists as well, with Peterson and junior Connor Jorgensen each adding two.
Junior Ezra Spandl earned the win in net, stopping 12 shots.
Princeton rides early momentum over LF
Host Princeton scored three goals in the first period and another four in the second to top Little Falls 8-1, Jan. 4.
Sophomore Mack Anez and Fenske assisted on a power-play goal by Mark Anez in the third period.
