Branden Clarence Bedford’s pre-trial hearing, scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, was cancelled minutes before it was to commence.
Bedford has been charged with first degree murder in the heroin overdose death of Miranda Gosiak Feb. 27, 2012, in Little Falls.
The defense attorney, Gary R. Wolf, was not in attendance Wednesday due to another trial taking longer than expected in a different county.
A plea hearing scheduled for Jan. 3, was also cancelled when Wolf and another defense attorney left the Morrison County Government Center before the hearing began.
On Monday, Bedford demanded a jury trial, which has been scheduled for Monday, March 24, at 9 a.m. in Judge Conrad Freeberg’s courtroom.
