Sparked by a 19-point effort from senior Sebastian Sowada, Little Falls rallied from a 26-21 halftime deficit to overtake host Milaca 57-53 in Granite Ridge Conference action, Monday.
The rest of the Flyers’ offensive output was balanced, with senior Mark Hanowski and junior Thomas Bell each putting in eight points, senior Jake Loukinen scoring seven and juniors Kyle Kabanuk and Bryce Zawatzke both contributing six.
Bell also distributed six assists and Sowada, who finished 9-of-13 from the field, recorded four steals.
Albany holds LF in check
Visiting Albany, in second place in the Granite Ridge Conference, topped fourth-place Little Falls 67-49, Jan. 9.
Zawatzke was the lone player in double figures for Little Falls with 10 points, trailed by Kabanuk (8), sophomore Riley Loukinen (8), Bell (7), Hanowski (6) and senior Cam Smith (5).
Jake Loukinen passed out five assists.
