Little Falls had the best big rally.
But host Foley had the best big, period, riding its 6-foot-5 junior center Tara Dusharm’s 30 points to a 64-56 win, Jan. 10.
After a brief 3-2 Flyers lead, Foley led the rest of the way, going ahead by as many as 17 in the first half before a 13-2 Little Falls run to end the first half, capped by a three from sophomore Laura Fregin, cut the halftime deficit to 29-24.
The Flyers quickly pulled within a possession on a free throw by junior Kendra Pohlman and basket from senior Laura Moe coming out of the break, but Foley managed to hang onto its lead en route to the Granite Ridge Conference victory.
Fregin sank 4-of-9 three-point attempts in scoring a team-high 16 points for the Flyers, followed by Pohlman (10), sophomores Melanie Dorn (9), Jordan Schuett (7) and Sarah Gold (6) and senior Brooke Finch (5).

It was a similar script against visiting Zimmerman, Tuesday, as the Thunder raced out to a big lead, then held on to top Little Falls 52-38.
Zimmerman built a double-digit lead early, seizing a 14-4 advantage midway through the first half.
The Flyers rallied back within a basket at 18-16, but Zimmerman was able to maintain its lead the rest of the way.
Fregin sank 11 points and Dorn posted eight points, six rebounds and four assists.
