Wrestling: Top-ranked Foley tops Little Falls in Granite Ridge clash

The weather turned what was scheduled to be a road tri into a spotlight home match-up for Little Falls against Foley, the top-ranked team in Class AA, Thursday.

The Flyers remained within striking distance throughout the first half of the dual, pulling with 16-15 after a 4-2 win by sophomore Justin Jenks at 145 pounds and 23-21 following a pin by senior Tyler Gastecki at 170.

But the Falcons flexed their muscle up top, closing the dual with four bonus-point victories en route to a 45-21 victory.

Also earning wins for the Flyers via pins were junior Logan Kapphahn at 120 and freshman Josh Beack at 126.
