Fergeson convicted for stealing from Walmart

On Jan. 30, Morrison County District Courts convicted Dan Leroy Fergeson, Jr., 22, Little Falls, with one felony count of theft.

On Sept. 8, 2013, Fergeson was seen by Walmart asset protection officials pushing a store cart full of items out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.

When questioned, he admitted he did try walking out of the store without paying.

The total amount of the items came to $1,233.13.

Fergeson was given credit for the three days he spent in jail, sentenced to five years of probation and fined $135.

The courts also gave Fergeson a stay of imposition which means if he abides by the stipulations placed on him during probation, the charge may be lowered to a misdemeanor.
