Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy and help with the Lastrup sledding, tubing and skating day. Thank you for the donations, especially Catholic United Financial for hot dogs, Coborn’s for buns, Karen and Vernon Schommer and Valarie Hoheisel for cookies, Bob and Joe Gruber and Josh Boser for wood, Stevie Gross for use of tubes, to those who plowed, assembled the snow wall and everyone else who made the day a success. — Rick Monson and Marvin Thomas, Lastrup sledding/skating committee, Lastrup

Many thanks to all who helped make our 35th annual ice fishing derby and log sawing contest a great success. Especially to Pat Eastman from Up North Bait Beer and Butter who donated his time and vehicle plowing so contestants could easily access the lake. Also to our lake drilling crew of Jason Elstran, Rod Rohloff, Larry Smude, Adam and Todd Tilleskjor, and Rick Virnig. On behalf of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, I want to thank you all — sisters and volunteers, businesses and individuals — who helped at the soup supper fundraiser Feb. 1 at St. Francis Convent. We served 365 people homemade soups, fresh breads and bars on Saturday evening. The Morrison County Food Shelf of Little Falls, would like to say “thank you” to all of the businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals who donated food, money and time to the Food Shelf over the holiday season. Thank you to all of the people that helped with the “Joyful Noise” fundraiser as well.
