With more than a season left to play in his high school career, Swanville junior Jordan Sales surpassed 1,000 career points in a 78-58 home win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Tuesday.
Sales finished the night with 18 points and eight rebounds, joined in double figures scoring by junior Austin Johnson (17), senior Cody Mollner (15) and junior Tyler Evans (14).
Evans dished out 10 assists on the night and Mollner pulled down nine rebounds.
Swanville also posted two other wins in the week, starting on a 23-0 run to win 51-17 at Royalton, Feb. 6 and defeating host Verndale 68-58, Feb. 7.
Sales sank 10-of-12 shots from the field as he finished with a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double against Royalton, with Mollner scoring 12 points and Johnson netting 10.
Senior Aaron Miller and Evans added five assists apiece.
Junior Matt Fountain and sophomore Tyler Hellickson each scored four points for Royalton against Swanville.
Against Verndale, Sales put up 21 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks, Evans scored 18 points and Loven scored 13.
Royalton fell 67-38 at West Central Area, Feb. 8 and 66-22 at Browerville, Tuesday.
Sophomore Ben Borash led the Royals with 11 points against West Central, with senior Kasey Stevens scoring nine points and sophomore Matt Daleiden and Hellickson both scoring eight.
Upsala extends win streak
Upsala won two more games this week, running its streak to 10 in a row by topping visiting Isle 78-52, Feb. 6 and visiting Osakis 88-46, Feb. 7.
Senior Christian Pekarek punished Isle with 31 points on 12-of-17 shooting, with senior Dylan Zimmerman scoring 17 points, junior Aidan Guthrie netting 12 and junior Kyle Soltis chipping in seven.
Pekarek also made eight steals and distributed seven assists.
Pekarek racked up another 34 points versus Osakis and Zimmerman finished with another 17 points along with 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Junior Jeremy Halverson scored 13 points, Guthrie had 10 and junior Jeffrey Halverson scored eight.
