Kenneth LeMieur

Kenneth LeMieur, 85- year-old resident of Little Falls, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Friday, Feb. 21, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie with Father Timothy Wenzel officiating. Burial took place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Kenneth was born May 3, 1928, in Little Falls, to the late William and Marie (Lentz) LeMieur. He grew up and attended school in Little Falls. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Navy in 1946 and was honorably discharged in 1948. He was united in marriage to Beverly Wenzel, Sept. 16, 1950, at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. In 1952, he bought Home Furnace Company which he operated for 37 years, servicing many homes in the area. Kenneth retired in 1989, after selling the business to his sons. He was very mechanical, he could fix, wire, or repair anything. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie and the Little Falls American Legion Post #46. He enjoyed going fishing, and took numerous trips to Canada. Kenny also had love for visiting with his many friends, and everyone loved visiting with him. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than anything and he will be greatly missed.
Ken is survived by loving wife of 63 years, Beverly LeMieur of Little Falls; sons, James (Charlene) LeMieur of Little Falls, John (Debbie) LeMieur of Little Falls, Steve (Katie) LeMieur of Little Falls, Dr. Timothy (Michelle) LeMieur of Deerwood and Mike (Julie) LeMieur of Little Falls; brothers, Earl LeMieur of Little Falls and Tom (Paulette) LeMieur of Little Falls; sisters, Collette (Jerry) Benson of Little Falls and Janet Luberts of Little Falls; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by parents, William and Marie LeMieur; brothers, Bill, Don, Bob, Edward and Rich LeMieur; sisters, Mildred Thielen, Leona Knutson, Shirley Pease, Rita Otremba and Irene LeMieur.
