The Pierz Art Club is hosting its second annual Empty Bowls soup supper Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Pierz High School cafeteria. Last year, the Club sold more than 100 bowls and was able to donate $800 to local charities.
Each attendee pays $10 (individual) or $30 (family) and each person receives a handmade bowl, soup, bread and a beverage. Attendees keep their bowls after the event as a reminder that someone else’s bowl is always empty.
Empty Bowls is a special community project and event to build awareness and develop support for fighting hunger in our community. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Pierz Food Shelf and the Pioneer Packs Program at Pierz Elementary School.
