World-renowned vocalist returns to Onamia for youth benefit

Robert1-media-photoOften recognized as the “Pavarotti of Gospel Music” Robert Robinson returns to Onamia and sing with the Bethany Lutheran Youth as a benefit for their annual mission trip this summer to poverty-filled areas in New York. The concert will be held at the Holy Cross Center and Church.

“It has been six years since I last performed in Onamia and I am very excited about it. Plus, I understand that Holy Cross has wonderful acoustics and that is great!” said Robinson. “This is an opportunity that I could not pass up. I’m slowly trying to work with the Twin Cities Community  Gospel Choir to form a children’s choir for youth in the inner city. Working with the youth is at the top of my priority list.”

On Saturday, March 15, there will be a special New York themed gathering for the public that begins at 5:30 p.m. It will feature fancy appetizers, desserts and beverages. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets  are available  at Bethany Lutheran Church’s office or by calling (320) 532-3366. Tickets will also be available at the door on the evening of the gathering and concert.

All proceeds will benefit the Bethany Youth on their 2014 Mission trip to New York.
