Pine Grove Zoo comes out of hibernation with ‘Zoo Gone Wild’ event

Last year, the Pine Grove Zoo held its third annual “Zoo Gone Wild Coming out of Hibernation Party.”

“What a fantastic night. Not only did attendees stay late after the event to reminisce about the evening, we also received emails and calls weeks later attesting to the great time everyone had,”  said Zoo Director Marnita Van Hoecke. “So, if you missed out last year, don’t repeat your mistake.”

This year’s event will be held Friday, March 21, again at the Falls Ballroom in Little Falls, beginning with a 7 p.m. social hour and hors d’oeuvres.

Guests, who must be 21 or older to attend, will be entertained from 8 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. by “Deuces WIld” with a dueling piano show.

“To add to the excitement of the evening, each Zoo Board member will be auctioned off to the highest bidding table,” said Van Hoecke. “The winning bid ensures that a particular board member will be at the table’s beck and call for the evening.”

The event is put on by the Friends of the Pine Grove Zoo to benefit the zoo. The group is a 501©3 and is dedicated to promoting environmental education and conservation while creating a progressive zoological park in Central Minnesota.
