Deana Hoefler

Deana Hoefler was born Feb. 10, 1957, in Little Falls, to Harry and Mary Brummer. She grew up in Hillman and went to school in Onamia. On May 30, 1986, Deana married George John Hoefler in Bulldog Lake. The couple had three children: Casey, Josi and John. Throughout her life Deana worked as a material handler and an interior decorator, though her primary joy was being a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Deana had many hobbies. She loved gardening, decorating, reading, dancing and singing. She was involved in Christian Mothers, a club in Buckman and also an active member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman. Finally, Deana loved spending time with her family and friends.
On Feb. 21, 2014, Deana passed away in Whittier, California. She leaves behind her husband of 27 years, George; her three children, Casey (Justina), Josi and John; her four grandchildren, Jala, Casey II, Julissa and Ian; her siblings Andy, Liz and Peggy; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Brummer; mother, Mary Brummer, and her brother, Jody Brummer.
A service was held Saturday, March 8, at St. Michaels Parish in Buckman. Burial will be determined at a later date.
