Mary Wuellner

Mary Wuellner, 90-year-old resident of Little Falls, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Little Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday and from 9-10 A.M. on Wednesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
Mary was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Little Falls, to the late Michael and Martha (Nowak) Zyvoloski. She grew up in Little Falls where she graduated from Little Falls High School and later, attended music school in Minneapolis. Mary served her country in the United States Navy from 1944 until her honorable discharge, July 19, 1946. She was united in marriage to Norman Wuellner, April 11, 1953, on a military vbase in California. Mary grew up in a very musically inclined family and learned music at a very young age. She and her family entertained friends, family, and other guests every weekend at various gatherings often volunteering their time and talents. Mary was also the faithful piano and organ player at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, starting when she was 12 years old and retiring in her late 80s. She also enjoyed playing bingo and trying her luck at the casino. Baseball was another pass time of hers and she kept score for many years for the Little Falls Softball League. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Little Falls American Legion Post #46. Marys church and music were very important, but her family was everything to her. She was special lady to many and she will be dearly missed.
Mary is survived by daughters, Debbie (Tim) Calhoun of Little Falls and Dina (Tim) Wuellner of Little Falls; brother, Hubert Hub Zyvoloski of Little Falls; sister, Joan (Jack) Saehr of Little Falls; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Martha Zyvoloski; husband, Norman Wuellner; brothers, Thomas Zyvoloski and Michael Bud Zyvoloski; infant brothers, Harry and Anthony; and infant sister, Rita.
