Bids/ Well field Test

Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City Administrator until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Little Falls City Hall, 100 7th Avenue NE, Little Falls, Minnesota, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the completion of water well testing drilling and sampling program. Major components of the Work include: Completion of fifteen (15) water well test borings (100 feet to 200 feet in depth), the majority of which are located just south of the City of Little Falls in the Airport area. The preferred method of drilling is sonic boring with continuous core samples. Alternate pricing for mud-rotary drilling and sampling will be evaluated. Three of these borings are anticipated to be chosen to be enlarged for installation of a 10-inch test well. Six (6) of the test borings will be converted to observation wells by installation of 2-inch PVC screen and casing. Test pumping, logging, and water quality sampling are also within the scope of Work. As the Project is completed, all bore-holes and wells will be sealed and abandoned.
Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH(R)) dated March 17, 2014.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bids shall be directed to the City Administrator, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, BID FOR WELL FIELD TEST DRILLING.
The City of Little Falls reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
