Fugitive David Stone extradited to Wisconsin

On April 1, David Alan Stone, 21, Ashland, Wis., waived his rights to an extradition hearing and agreed to be returned to Wisconsin.

On March 19, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections issued a warrant for the arrest of Stone. According to the Department, Stone, who was on parole for burglary, absconded from supervision. The Department asked that Stone be apprehended and held pending a hearing in Wisconsin.

On March 29, a Minnesota State Patrol officer located Stone in Morrison County. He was placed under arrest for the warrant and was transported to the Morrison County Jail.

On March 31, an investigator with the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office spoke with Stone, who refused to say anything else other than he did not want to fight extradition.
