Richard Dick A. Schultz

Obit-Schultz-formattedMemorial Services were held Tuesday April 8, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Saint Cloud for Richard Dick Schultz, age 71, of St. Cloud, who passed away April 4 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
The Rev. Mark Innocenti officiated and the burial was held at St. Marcus Cemetery in Clear Lake.
Dick was born March 12, 1943, to Arthur and Gertrude (Scarr) Schultz in Little Falls. He married Lila Eiffert, Nov. 28, 1963, in Little Falls and had resided in the Saint Cloud area ever since. Dick was the Meat Market Manager at Red Owl in St. Cloud from 1961 until 1986. He worked as a St. Cloud Township Volunteer Fire Fighter, Fire Chief, and constable. Dick also worked for the City of St. Cloud as a Fire Marshall. He was a member of the St. Cloud Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 622, Central Minnesota Fire Chief Association, Ducks Unlimited, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, and Minnesota Sheriffs Association. Dick enjoyed hunting with his grandchildren and spending time at the cabin on Lake Vermilion with friends and family. He took great pride in his yard and was a very generous and caring man who was exceptionally proud of his children and grandchildren.
Dick is survived by his wife Lila of 50 years; children, Wendy (Mike) Zimny of St. Cloud and Todd (Ann) Schultz of Albany; grandchildren, Jenna, Sam and Mark Zimny and Abby and Luke Schultz; sister, Joanne Nelson of Little Falls; sister-in-law, Rachel Schultz of Moorhead; brother-in-law, Don Kedrowski of McKinley and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Kedrowski; brother, William Bill Schultz; brother-in- law, Dale Nelson; and an infant daughter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Johnson for his compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Coborn Cancer Center.
