Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Allandale Dairy, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Morrison for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The existing and/or proposal feedlot will be located in the Buckman Township, Section 16 NW quarter, Morrison County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 545 dairy cows and heifer young stocks, totaling 984 animal units. Currently, a 110×330 freestall barn utilizes a 250 x 185 HDPE lined manure pit. The proposed facility consists of calf barn for 100 calves totaling 20 animal units which is replacing a current facility. We are building a 30 x 40 open front calf shed to replace a 36 x 80 shed that collapsed from snow. Also, we are replacing the 36 x 60 pole shed that was damaged from snow with a bigger building measuring 50 x 150. All buildings will be bedded pack manure storage. No animal units will be increased with these changes.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
