Obit-Feucht-formattedEugene A. Feucht, 82- year-old resident of Brooklyn Center, formerly of Grey Eagle, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls,with the Rev. Nate Bjorge officiating. Burial will be at Bearhead Cemetery in Swanville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 18, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel. Military Rites will be conducted by the Swanville American Legion Post #313 and VFW Post #6037.
Eugene was born April 21, 1931, in Grey Eagle, to the late Albert and Mildred (Zutter) Feucht. He attended and graduated from Grey Eagle high school and later, in 1949 entered into the U.S. Army. Later, Eugene reinlisted into the U.S. Air Force and was deployed overseas to Korea in 1952. He was united in marriage to Leona May Hutchins, Nov. 1, 1952, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Swanville. Eugene was in the U.S. Air Force until his retirement in 1970, and then worked for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 2002. In his spare time, Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by, children, Joan (Bud) Wichern of Nevis, Bonnie (Terry) Lewis of Boise, Idaho, Eugene H. Feucht of Fridley, Rob (Deb) Feucht of Rogers and Jim Feucht of Buffalo; brother, Robert Feucht; 10 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
Eugene was preceded in death by wife, Leona May; daughter, Lizabeth Smith; parents; a brother and three sisters; and his grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Breuer, Richard Carpenter, Wayne Carpenter, Glenn Schoenrock, Roger Sprague, Cameron Feucht and Brian Hanf.
