Foley man has drug charges dismissed in Morrison, sentenced in Stearns County

On April 9, Morrison County District Courts dismissed a charge of felony fifth degree possession of drugs against Donald Eugene Watson Jr., 38, Foley.

On May 3, 2012, the Morrison County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant on 330th Avenue. They encountered Watson when entering the home.

When searching the residence and surrounding property, the deputies found 2.7 grams of methamphetamine in a car and 1.2 grams of methamphetamine in Watson’s wallet.

Watson was placed under arrest for possession.

Assistant Morrison County Attorney Todd Kosovich said the charges were dismissed based on a two-county deal where Watson was facing a more serious crime in Stearns County. He was sentenced to 45 months in prison as part of that deal.
