Lorraine Kallis

Lorraine V. (Renner) Kallis, 79-year-old resident of Little Falls, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at St. Gabriels Hospital of Little Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at St. James Catholic Church in Randall with Father Jimmy Joseph V.C. officiating. Burial will be at Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapels in Little Falls and 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A parish prayers service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
Lorraine was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Buckman Township, to the late Victor Sr. and Anna (Marshik) Renner. She attended country school in Lakin Township and graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls. Lorraine was united in marriage to Richard Kallis, Aug. 25, 1954, at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church in Brennyville. Richard and Lorraine farmed north of Little Falls in Green Prairie Township. She was employed as a nurse at St. Gabriels Hospital then later worked at Larson Boats for 27 years before retiring. In her spare time, Lorraine enjoyed watching and feeding hummingbirds, gardening and her little puppy Jed, and spending time with family.
She is survived by sons, Duane (Bridget) of Richfield, Thomas (Cheryl) of Silver Lake, Joseph (Faye) of Randall and John (Kathleen) of Roseau; daughters, Mary Jo Hurrle of North Branch, Cynthia (Duane) Witucki of Little Falls, Janel Sczublewski of Royalton and Kateri Spencer of Baxter; son-in-law, Carl Hallberg of Little Falls; brother, Leon (Sandy) Renner of Foley; sisters, Sr. Cleone Renner, OSF of St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Sr. Lucy Renner, OSF of St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Joanne Strang of Braham and Eileen (Ben) Klimek of Carver; 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband, Richard; parents; brother, Victor Renner Jr; sister, Sr. Marjorie Ann Renner, OSF; daughter, Elaine Hallberg; and grandson, Douglas Kallis.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Kallis, Michael Hurrle, Jerrit Witucki, Brett Witucki, Aaron Hallberg, Adam Hallberg, Ethan Sczublewski, Isaac Spencer, Sam Spencer, and Jacob Kallis.
