Thank you letters, April 20 issue

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Swanville VFW, I would like to extend a sincere thanks to Brian and Kelly Allen, Red’s Irish Pub. This is the first year we held our annual fish fry there. It was a huge success. Brian also incorporated a meat raffle that evening and those profits will go toward our veterans, too. Their son, Grant, donated his tips from serving to the VFW. A truly class act and very much appreciated. — Dennis Treb, Commander, VFW Post 6037, Swanville

To the Editor:

The April Red Cross Bloodmobile at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, received 278 units — 55 units above goal. Thanks to donors who gave, who came but couldn’t donate, businesses allowing for posters; Little Falls Radio, Morrison County Record, Channel 6 — who informed the public; Ace/Coborn’s and Walgreens for marquee reminders; Coborn’s for juice and paperware and the many volunteers who helped. — Sister Julien Dirkes, Motherhouse administrator, Little Falls

To the Editor:

A big thank you on behalf of all the Royalton area senior citizens that attended the annual appreciation social and dinner sponsored by the Royalton Lions Club, another great event and you served us royally. — Betty DeVriendt, Royalton Senior Center, Royalton
