Belle Prairie residents without power

On Thursday, April 24at approximately 4:35a.m. the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Golden Plump grain truck driver that he had struck a power line with an auger.

Significant damage to several poles and lines were discovered near the intersection of 183rd Street and 205th Avenue (County Road 46).  According to Crow Wing Power, approximately 550 people are without power.

Crow Wing Power estimates it will take approximately 6-8 hours for power to be fully restored. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Little Falls Police Department.
