Frances C. Robinson, 89-year-old resident of Little Falls passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 23, 2014 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial took place in St. Marys Cemetery.
Frances was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Buckman, to the late George and Martha (Grittner) Wimmer. She was united in marriage to Donald H. Robinson, May 14, 1946, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman. Frances was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls, a life member of the St. Marys Christian Mothers, promoter of the Miraculous Medal, former Den Mother to Cub Scouts and also worked with Blue Bird Camp Fire Girls. She was also a former member of the American Legion and served as a chaperone on many local school trips. Frances enjoyed traveling, gardening, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frances is survived by sons, Donald G. Robinson of Little Falls, David J. Robinson of Freedhem and Kurt (Veronica) Robinson of Little Falls; sisters, Marie (Gene) Kampa of St. Paul and Alvina Hanson of Landsberg, Mich.; sisters-in-law, Virginia (Vern) Schwinghammer of Little Falls, Bernadine Wimmer of Randall and Mattie Wimmer of Brainerd; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by parents, George and Martha Wimmer; husband, Donald H. Robinson; daughter, Sandra Gallus; infant son, Dean H. Robinson; brothers, George W. Wimmer, Wilfred J. Wimmer, Leo Wimmer, Leonard Wimmer and Lawrence Wimmer and sister, Delores Wimmer.
