Levi Keehr charged with issuing dishonored checks

Levi Alan Keehr, 28, Little Falls was charged April 18 with one felony count of issuing a dishonored check.

On Jan. 10, a Little Falls Police officer received a report of two dishonored checks, totalling $625, that were issued to a business in town. Both checks were allegedly in the name of A & B Tree Experts and Keehr and both  were returned to the business due to the checking account being closed.

An employee of the business identified Keehr as the person who cashed the checks.

A Notice and Demand for Payment of Dishonored Check was sent to Keehr at the address on the checks, but he did not respond and the officer is unable to locate him.

If convicted, Keehr faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
